That's what I thought of when I saw the thread title.
They use the P229 in Orlando in .357 Sig. I think they used to use it in NYC too. The only knock on it is that it tends to over penetrate, but for these guys in the military who are fighting in places where the buildings are often concrete block construction that might be a positive. I have read stories online, who knows how accurate they are of course, but of operators or other people on the ground liking the 7.62 over the 5.56 because it will punch through those walls.
