Doesn't help matters that Marvel is basically crushing DC at the box office, as well (ironic, because DC comics are generally better received than Marvel's). Zach Snyder is a true modern day master at VFX (loved the visuals in Sucker Punch), but now he has to put together a good story to go along with the flashy shit he's good at. He has it in him; Watchmen is a great movie where he does a fantastic job bringing to life characters from a comic. He needs to do it here.
My one concern is that they're forcing Darkseid into the fray way too early. There is no shortage of heavies that could take on the Justice League, but they're jumping to the top of the baddie mountain with Darkseid for the League's first team up.
