I would love to have a new commissioner whose opening statement is, "We are going to preserve the integrity of the game. We're going to restore balance on the field, and we're going to make the game of football the central concern of our league. We will protect the league against any actions by players, fans, owners, or any party who sully our reputation. We will likely get smaller as we stop chasing jersey sales and multimedia marketing and fantasy football, but we are going to preserve the core of who we are and what made this game great. We will ensure that your grandchildren enjoy the sport of football as much as you do."
