Basically she's taking the existence of Hawking radiation to mean that something escapes a black hole and therefore negates it from ever reaching a singularity.

There maybe particles that are unaffected by gravity and thus escape, or it could be from infalling material at the event horizon. Not sure about the math its above my paygrade.
