And to me, placating the fans takes a backseat to GETTING IT RIGHT. Get the right GM and the right coach and the fans are inherently placated by the WINNING.

JMO but a lot of the fans want it now because they fear that if we were somehow win a couple of games and the SOC movement was to lose ground that Pioli might not get fired.
