oh yeah, that's learned behavior, and paying pain forward.

I've told this story before...when we moved home my oldest daughter was in fifth grade, getting picked on by a boy bigger than her...came home in tears one day..next morning at the bus stop, I called him on it and told him if it happened again, I'd be talking to his dad.
less than 30 minutes later, I get a call from the principal..no what the big bad bully did? ..went into school and cried about how he got yelled at...principal says to me, how would you like it if another parent said that to your child? I responded that if my daughter was behaving in that manner, I would hope a parent would do exactly that...she was more worried about the bully's "feelings" than his behavior towards other students.
schools are now matriarchal, over 80 percent women...no swats for you! if I got my ass busted at school for acting up, you can damn well know I got my ass beat at home too.
that line has been made fuzzy, and now everyone pays because of it..
