So it's kind of a measure of relative popularity rather than absolute popularity. If there's one Sonic location but a lot of people go there, it will be called the favorite.
Also assumes that Foursquare users are representative of the population.
Also assumes that Foursquare users really like to check in even when they're at someplace as mundane as a burger joint.
Also assumes that places don't encourage you to check in on Foursquare, which would drive their levels up.
So in short, interesting, but not all that meaningful.
