That's fair enough.
The only knock on Perez at this point is the sample size. He's got a little less than a full season of experience and didn't display a long track record of this level of hitting in the minors.
I understand some skepticism on him. I still have some myself (though it is less than it was before this past season). I think the power is real. Only question is whether he can continue to hit .280-.300 long term.
