I am not going to pick against this team until they prove me wrong. They have played pretty much how I thought they would. And I just don't think the Pats have the horses to keep up with us- they didn't last year with Alex and have fallen further behind in talent this year. Nope. I picked them to beat the Chargers, Steelers, and Broncos. I didn't vote on the SF poll because frankly, I don't really get that amped for NFC games.
I picked them to lose to Jax because I thought the offense might come back to earth. It actually did for a bit but the Chiefs scored a defensive touchdown, which I don't think anybody expected. There isn't a person here that can say the Jags game turned out exactly like they expected.
As for the Patriots, I'm just too jaded. I've been around this team and the NFL too long. The refs gave a metric ton of help to the Broncos and that game only turned out the way it did because Mahomes overcame and the Broncos have Alex Smith 2.0. That won't be the case on Sunday night in Foxboro. I expect Brady to get a similar number of calls but he's not Case Keenum. Not even close actually.
