There's no guarantee it would lead to any more success than we've had. Jacksonville? Carolina? Cleveland? Houston? One Super Bowl appearance between them (By the way, it was with a retread game manager at quarterback).
Finally, if it did produce a winner, we would've sold our souls for it. We would have become no better than the fair weather fans we deride. **** St Louis fans, who got a team, and like 5 minutes later got a Super Bowl win. **** Colorado Avalanche fans, for the same reason. **** fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Marlins. This shit we are/have been going through will make the championship (if/when we get it) that much sweeter.

This is the mentality that I disagree with. So somehow fans of a team (even a new team) who get to see their team win in the postseason, are somehow less of a fan then you? Do you not see how warped that thinking is? So to you, the only fans that exist in the country are fans of the Chiefs, Lions, Browns right? Cause every other team hasnt had to put up with 40 years of shitty as teams?
I got news for you. Seeing your team win in the postseason, is just as sweet and as fleeting as those fans who have been waiting for 40 years.
Look at San Fran. They went to the superbowl, two years ago. Now look at them, all up in arms over missing the post season. Do you really think that the CHiefs (ever) get to the superbowl will be anything more than a week long coverage and then it's on to the next thing.
Sure for you, and the other 5 chiefs fans, it'll be great. You were alive when the chiefs made it to the superbowl again. Someday you'll get to tell your great great grandkids that you saw RG3 lead the Chiefs to the Superbowl. But to your kids, who got sick of waitin on the chiefs, and switched to the packers (#gopackgo) got to see a superbowl every other 3 years.
You being a fan has nothing to do with postseason 'sweetness' of victory
