But the comment I made about not knowing the movie business had nothing to do with opinion and everything to do with the "why" of "Why isn't Hollywood producing original films?".
Once again, "Hollywood" IS producing original films with original ideas but those movies tend to be smaller in budget, generally $25 million or less (Sicario was $30 but you get the idea).

I will give Hollywood credit for a new idea of a movie in 10 Cloverfield Lane. I mean it had acting through 90% of it and it was awesome acting especially the portrayal of John Goodman character. They really did a convincing job that was John Goodman acting as a deranged survivalist.
