The way they've blown over the baby and from what I've seen on the preview looks like they're leaving tells me there's no room on the outside for it.
It's kind of weird, how initially the biggest threat were the zombies, but now they are nothing more than walking landmines. The biggest threat in all of this has come down to the living.

That's kind of the whole point behind the comics. The dead aren't as big of deal after a while. It's the living that are the problem.
