Astrological Symbology in Revelation

OK here we go!

The mythos painted in Revelation actually describes the ushering in of a new Astrological Age, The Age of Aries. Thus, the original form of this manuscript may be centuries old since that Age began roughly 4400 years ago. Later, it is refurbished for a Christian audience, the names "Jesus", "Christ" and "Jesus Christ" are used so sparingly it seems to suggest the name was inserted in editing. On to the symbology:

Seven Gates

Seven, in addition to being the number of "planets" is also the number of visible stars of the Pleiades, or the "Seven Hathors" of the Egyptians. The Hathors were seven beings who make decrees whom the dead would meet on their journey through the seven spheres of the afterlife. These correspond to the "seven gates".

The Lamb

In Revelation, Jesus is identified as the lamb, but originally, the lamb represented the new age of Aries being born. This is denoted when the Sun, as it rises in the east, appears to rise in the house of Aries. Since the Age is just beginning, the Ram is depicted as a lamb. The lamb has seven horns and seven eyes. The horns represent power (Deut 33:17) and in Daniel designated kingly power. The seven eyes which inform the land of everything happening on earth is a holdover from earlier religious concepts when the seven planets were viewed as the "eyes of God".

The Great City

Located in the heavens, the 12 gates are the 12 signs of the Zodiac, as is the Tree of Life that bears 12 manners of fruit. The 24 elders that surround the throne are the hours of the day. The four angels standing at the four corners of the earth are the cardinal points of the Zodiac (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo and Scorpio). The 144,000 elect are from counting the arc minutes per one degree, times a factor of 10 squared.

The Four Living Creatures

Quote:
And round the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes front and behind: And the first animal was like a lion and the second animal was like a calf, and the third animal had the face of a man and the fourth animal was like a flying eagle.
These creatures are also the cherubim in Ezekiel. Have you guessed who they are? Let me give you a hint. In ancient horoscopes, Scorpio was also represented as a large eagle or bird of prey. That's right, the four mysterious living creatures are the personifications of the cardinal points on the Zodiac. All those "eyes front and behind" are the infinite stars. Its interesting to note, that the sphinx is a creature that personifies the Zodiac in whole, combining the elements of the four living creatures. In fact, the word sphinx means, "to bind closely together".

The Four Horsemen

There is probably no more iconic symbology in Revelation than the Four Horsemen. So who are they? The Horsemen are allowed to ride about. So if we are looking for astronomical objects, whose paths seem a little more less restricted than the other objects in the sky, such as the constellations and sun. The horses are descibed in color: white, red, black (holding scales), and pale:

How about white:

Venus

Red:

Mars

Black with scales (balances):

Saturn with "scales"

Pale:

Mercury

So, as you can see, the Four Horsemen are indeed upon us, just as they are every night. To be continued....
