Pretty interesting that Shelby, a guy who's spent his life in hiding from Tonin because he has the information needed to take him down, is now helping Ellen May hide from Boyd for the same reason.
But he's trying to pump her for information on Boyd, too, so he could take him down.
Basically begging for her to do something he wish he could do: take down the person who's made every second of your life dangerous since you went into hiding.
