Factory Reset on Galaxy Tab A

My wife's mother passed away recently and we inherited back her tablet that we had got her. I did a factory reset on it and now we are getting a message about an unauthorized factory reset and now it won't let us do anything unless we verify the email and/or phone that was used on the device(all of which would have been shutoff at this point). Everything I am finding online says you need a USB drive that can connect to the OTG to bypass this. I don't currently have a thumb drive with that capability. Anyone else know of a way to do this without using that?

Stupid thing is, I really didn't need to do the reset. She hardly used the damn thing and she didn't really have anything on it. I was just doing it to get a clean slate.
