It truly is a dense and confusing, deals with a familar sci-fi concept in a 'realistic' way. No exposition, no running into identifiable markers which would make what's going on clearer. Just a matter of fact style and some physics mumbo-jumbo that you sense the actors only have understand and you only understand a fraction of that fraction.
