Geno Smith has never been extremely impressive. He's very up and down, which hopefully our coaches could correct. He has extremely impressive tools, and he seems like a good guy, but his on the field product is much, much worse than Stafford's was, and against weaker defenses.
Edit: It's also worth noting that Geno was playing with multiple NFL caliber receivers. Tavon Austin is probably a first rounder. To my knowledge, Stafford did not have that.

Stafford was on a loaded team. WV had Geno and three WRs with no RB O line or defense. To me Stafford's arm is a 'little' over rated
Stafford was a better prospect but they're not that far apart. At this point if I were to do another comparison of other QBs to Geno Smith I would put him between Bradford and Stafford as a prospect.
