It is a FIFA world cup qualifying weekend. That means if any player gets called by their national team, the club has to let them go. The MLS discussed with the playoff teams if they wanted to play the playoff games that weekend and the teams decided to wait. If they did play before the 23rd, Sporting would likely be playing without Zusi and Besler.
