If it's russian it's almost certainly a saiga. The only other russian guns are vepr rifles and I'm generally not a fan of them because they have a chunk taken out of rear of the receiver for sporting compliance issues.
There really are two classes of saiga's one is the factory 'converted' models they were brought in by Aresnal before(labeled Legion) now are brought in by FIME group. Then you have the saiga sporting rifles that people convert. Some of those are done well, many are home jobs. Pictures will be useful to tell not only parts but also condition. As much information about it you can get will help evaluate value.
For magazines the question is always how rare they are. This is a decent site to show but I'm not always sure how up to date it is.

The more rare a magazine is the more valuable it is. I own 1 Tula plum that I got to go with my 86 AKSU build.
