He'd have the support of Chuck's doctors, and could write off that recording as him playing along with a delusional fantasy. Getting Chuck committed could ruin both HHM and the McGill name, necessitating the advent of Saul (in more ways than one).

That would be Jimmy breaking bad. There's no evidence he would do this. He sabotaged chuck to save Kim not because he wanted revenge. He twice had the choice to save his ass or save his brother. Both times he picked his brother. If Jimmy does that that's a huge change in his character.
