Regarding the deleted scene, it's most likely a "Pre Viz" scene or pre-visualization. Pre Viz are the computer models that are used to create a VFX scene and it may have been decided that the scene would be deleted before the VFX team completed the final render.

That would make sense because its so horribly done. But, why include something so bad? When you get a chance let me know what you think it was.
I loved the parts on the set when they filmed Solo coming onto the Falcon for the first time. Solo death scene etc. Well worth $20 plus got a $5 gift card.
