Herm wasn't a great coach. But if he was given a roster with talent, he could provide average to above average results.
From my POV, he fits best as a College Personnel guy. If he were the Director of College Personnel for any NFL team, I believe that team would benefit.
At this point, with the lack of secondary players, I'd throw the checkbook at him this season and ask him to identify immediate starters, regardless of round, in the 2014 draft.
But hey, that's just me.
