Well, from what I understand, he was quite different in his heyday. By the time I had met him in the mid-90's, he was pretty much done and his career kaput. I used to see him when he was in his mid to late 60's, which was a very different Shatner from the guy in his early 30's.
Had it not been for his appearances on Howard Stern and his stake in Priceline (which Howard advised him to take), he'd probably be out of the public eye.
For me, it's really hard to believe that he's 82 years old now.
