well.....I don't really think of myself as a wannabe...but maybe....I know I can't play for the Chiefs....and oddly enough, my high school football talent just didn't "translate well" for Division 1.
I grew up in the upper peninsula. you rooted blue or you rooted green or you stfu. my cousin and my babysitter (her name was Becky.....I still love her....) went to Michigan. been wearing blue since before I could walk. going to the Big House was a huge huge deal for me as a little kid. HUGE! love 'em or hate 'em....the Big House is pure dee awesome. hell I just KNEW I was gonna go there...play for them too! my dad got assigned to Whiteman and I did high school here. and I'm still here. I'm a Warrensburg jackass (Go MULES!) and I still root for blue. there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
my son and I have gone to see games at Ann Arbor a couple times. (your life will not be complete until you eat a ruben from Zingermans deli). maybe HE will go there.....I don't know.....but if he doesn't, I bet he'll still root for them!
