I do know peeps in their 40s that still cant find a job that pays more than 11 bucks an hour & they never worked at anything or anywhere long enough to learn a trade or crawl up the ranks. It would suck to be 40 & still flipping burgers. That dnt make it a 20 dollar an hour job though
no, it doesn't. But the truth is, people are going out and working hard to acquire skills (college, trade schools, etc) and then they aren't able to apply those skills so they have to resort to this 'unskilled' labor. At one restaurant I worked at, 5 of the servers all had master degrees, one lady even had 2. Yet, they are working an unskilled job. That's just the way it is now, it may not be intended. But that's reality.
