Also, getting Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. The Iraq threat was fabricated in order to push a neocon agenda that had been cooked up long before 9/11.
They didn't leave bin Laden when they had him trapped, he escaped because it turned out that he wasn't really trapped.
Saddam didn't have a role in the 9/11 attack, but he was a part of the West's problem in the Middle East that led to 9/11. The Iraq threat wasn't fabricated by neocons. Parts of the WMD intel were fabricated by intel sources, but that's something we realize in hindsight, not a part of a grand conspiracy. The world is better off without Saddam.
