LBJ and Nixon were both in Dallas the day JFK was assassinated. Both of these guys were evil. More than half of the Vietnam combat deaths happened from 1968 to 1975, so to think this could have been avoided is maddening. Reagan did the same traitorous thing with the Iran Embassy Hostages. He made an "October Surprise" deal with the Iranians to hold them until after the 1980 election. The hostages were freed the same day Reagan was inaugurated, and he secretly sold them arms afterwards. Nice guy.
Think of the Vietnam Memorial, then think of how many names on that wall Nixon and Kissinger are directly responsible for. Its one of the saddest eras of our country's history.
