I didn't like the way Carl Peterson treated Jared Allen after Allen proved for almost a year that he was going to completely change his drinking habits and comply with whatever behavioral guidelines the team set out for him. He followed his end of the bargain, but the Chiefs didn't follow theirs.
That doesn't mean I suddenly liked the Vikings, or even that I kept rooting for Allen. I just stopped caring about what he did in the league. Brandon Carr was my favorite player on the team. When he signed with the Cowboys, I said, "Good for him. Got his money. No longer care about him."
