I'm hearing Welker has disdain for New England the way McDaniels tried to shun him aside early in the season last year...
if we're going to have a checkdown king at QB we might as well sign captain checkdown routes to a Bowe-esque contract and see what he'd do for Alex Smith
I don't generally live in the Madden fantasy world and that is a Madden fantasy trade but I can't think of anyone in the NFL that would help Alex Smith more than Wes Welker.
