The perception of this draft is pretty unique. I can't recall a draft where there wasn't a concensus #1 overall pick or at least a couple of options. While we don't know how Dorsey/Reid rank each player, the media has been creating the perception that there isn't a #1. People are easily influenced by the media. I don't believe that Dorsey/Reid haven't narrowed it down to a couple of players/positions to include Geno. I like that they are doing their due diligence and taking their time to open contract negotiations with their guy(s) of choice; however, in a sense they are playing along with the media and just adding more drama.
IMO they are going to wait right up until draft to announce their intentions even if they already have a player selected. Just to see if they can get a trade partner.
