The only two scenarios that make sense to me right now are either:
1.) Pioli is, has has been intimated today in this thread, just trying to save face. He wants it to seem like it was a very hard decision to let him go.
or
2.) all of the info that Marty had about Clark's real intentions and about Pioli being fired at the end of the season? It was all crafted to quell SOC's collective anger, to make Clark think that (as the Mike Florio story said) the fans' "outcry had diminished."
Until tomorrow night, I'm sticking with the first scenario. I'm not going to assume that Clark is the worst owner in American professional sports until he actually proves it.
