Of course they have exclusive rights. They presumably had them in 2010 also, but the NFL worked it out through some form of negotiation, given the extenuating circumstances. Businesses negotiate amendments or exceptions to contracts all the time. You'd know this, as you're an awesome businessman with expertise in all business.
I am also unsurprised that they aren't moving the game due to the murder, however.
