On who gets the use of that oil, I have contrary facts per those links. Also the number of jobs is exaggerated. It's more like 5000.
The oil reaches Texas Gulf refineries but there's no certainty they will be sold in the US. However, it was meant to go to Asia. We're just the middleman.
Five Fallacies of Keystone Pipeline.
Let me try to clear a few things up here about the Keystone Pipeline job on a freaking Bengahzi thread!
You are bitching about eminent domain abuse
...... get over yourself. You act as though this happens everyday by all business & politicians. It happens at times, but from what I know it's for the betterment of the community, state, region, etc. Mostly by way of jobs to the community. I do not know of ANYBODY that has not been compensated well for it. Sometimes people are just too stubborn to allow progress to take place for pride or principal. When this happens, it sucks, I can relate to the family feelings on their land. But something of this magnitude produces many jobs.
Your bitching on jobs
.............5000, don't kid yourself or that article. You have no clue.... The current project will produce 20,000 construction jobs over the life of the project. Projects like this, along with additional investment in oil sands development in Canada and expansion of pipelines and refineries in the U.S. make it possible to realize an additional 500,000 U.S. jobs in 2035.
You want to figure in the additional jobs it feeds too, trucking, pipe building, construction mats, pipeline skids, pipe joints and supplies, construction machinery, linemen, additional refineries workers, fuel transportation, crap the list goes on the number of jobs it builds and helps to maintain in our economy.
You are too shallow, you only see 1 or 2 talking points and jump on the bandwagon it's turns into a freaking crusade.
What part of capitalism do you not understand ?
