Santana is kind of a modern-day Saberhagen, in that he has typically had one good year, followed by one bad year.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to offer him a one-year deal. Gives him a chance to up his value and earn a long-term deal pitching in a pretty friendly park (at least for a guy whose biggest problem is the gopher ball).
As for Haren... I'm a little surprised to hear they will cut ties with him. You'd think they'd be able to trade him for SOMETHING - and then not have to pay the $3 million buyout.
