Why in the **** would Romeo Crennel need to hire a dc that wouldn't see completely eye to eye with him? Especially with all the talented defensive coaches we have on staff.
He hired Daboll to hand the offense to and Romeo will oversee the defense.
We could have easily promoted almost any position coach from the defense to be the "DC"...but what's the point?
Let the coaches have a competition for the spot and name one next season if we need to.

And I think that is a big problem from a coach who professed to being burnt out in Cleveland and who struggles to manage a game even when he doesn't have coordinator responsibility. Given his track record in Cleveland, I would have liked to have seen him bring in a coordinator. Maybe he is delegating a lot of responsibility already to Thomas or Gibbs or anyone else on the staff. If so, and Romeo's calling the plays and setting final game plans, that's fine. But there is definitely a risk of him taking on way more than he can handle. Especially at his age.
