While I love both of those songs I wasn't simply picking my own favorite. CMT and Country Weekly did a survey last year and "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was the overwhelming favorite for best country song of all time. I happen to agree so I included it in the OP as best country song ever. Of course it's open to debate.
