I'm about to hit legacy level 30.

50 Sage: Story was hit-and-miss. Some of it was great, Act 3 in particular, but it was inconsistent. My favorite character to play.
50 Gunslinger: Story was also hit-and-miss, but better than the Consular. Some really awesome moments and lines. Enjoy the class mechanics.
49 Sentinel: By far the worst story I've played through in the game, although I haven't yet finished act 3. I really like the class and how it plays, but I did not like the story at all.
39 Commando: Through act 2, the best storyline on the Republic side. Enjoy the class as well.
15 Operative: My first live Imperial character, started in the last week. Focused mainly on crafting so far (just hit 400 armstech, so all I have left is biochem). I really enjoyed what I played of the Agent quest on the test server, and so far am greatly enjoying playing it over in the live game.

I also have a level 30ish Juggarnaut on the test server. Enjoy the class story and the combat mechanics (I'm dps, not tanking).

In beta I played a Sorceror up to 26, and loved the storyline. My next live character after the Agent will be a Sith Assassin.

I also played a Bounty Hunter to 15 in beta, and enjoyed that quite a bit, as well.

Basically by the time I'm done I'm going to have one character of every archetype:

Republic: Commando, Gunslinger, Sage, Sentinel
Empire: Assassin, Juggarnaut, Operative, Powertech

So far I haven't found a character that I dislike as far as gameplay goes. I really enjoy the variety of the combat mechanics and finding different ways to get things done. Of course I'm sure it helps (a lot) that I have maxed crew skills in Armormech, Armstech, Artifice, Cybertech and Synthweaving, so gearing up my secondary characters is no problem at all.
