I would still argue that
28 Days Later is a zombie movie. To me, a zombie movie is a survival story that includes a massive group out there that has the mindless desire of ripping any living human to shreds, which usually ends up in a post-apocalyptic environment. The fact that they're not undead is just a technicality.
I'm sure others disagree.
