I contribute to a fund that buys girls back after they get sold by their impoverished families. A piglet & 5 gallons of kerosene is enough to buy a kid back from servitude. Unfortunately, they go back to a family that sold them.
Side note: Some khukri-making Kamis were raising funds to put a Nepalese dude through med school in India by holding a raffle for some beautiful, hand-forged khukris that they made. He's working as a doctor in Nepal now. I bought spots for both raffles & won both knives. Serious good luck.
