Pioli isn't the kind of GM who packages picks to move up in the first. I personally thought it was unlikely that we'd make an attempt to draft a QB if he was there in the first, taking the picks to move down, this, in my mind, seals it.
Tyler Palko's not good, but he's also not Tim Tebow. He doesn't panic after a second in the pocket, and he's not incapable of completing passes. How does starting Palko, or Stanzi, for that matter, really hurt the development of the offense?
We'll probably beat Denver, and perhaps one other team, further driving the stake in our own hearts.
