OK, I found a way to get to it (mostly) by doing a search for users by join date and seeing the number of results. This will omit the (very seldom) user account that's been deleted (rather than banned), but that shouldn't impact more than 1-2 users per year I don't think.

So, we actually had a relatively LOW year in terms of new users. Once again, I probably blame part of that on the shitty team.
Even with the low number of new users, I'd say based on the results of the "n00b of the year" contest, the quality of our n00bs was pretty good this year, and that's worth something.
