Ok, several different scenario's:
1 - When I plug my headset in, I get no sound through the ear pieces. I can hear people through the speakers, but I do not believe they can hear me.
2 - My son was playing tonight, he could hear through the ear pieces, but the other kid was coming through the speakers as well. The other kid could hear my son talking fine.
3 - Again, with my son playing tonight (he switched games) and now he can hear people through the headset, they can hear him, but it's not coming through the speakers.
Initially, I thought it was the headset - or a setting. But I've checked all the settings and everything appears to be normal (Play through headset, not muted, and volume set to 10). And I know the headset is working because my son at least has no problems on our 2nd 360...it works normally. So, I'm assuming that I've messed with a setting somewhere, but I've looked and haven't been able to find it.
Any idea's?

Use the xbox controller from the 2nd system (the one that works with the mic) on the other system and see if it functions properly.. If not, faulty controller.
