I agree that the controls suck, there really isn't any excuse for having these antiquated controls in 2009. It might be enough to prevent me from buying the game. The RE games have moved from survival horror games to more action focused. You fight a lot more enemies and move around in much larger spaces than you did in past REs, the control scheme just feels so clunky for an action focused game. It's a shame because Dead Space had perfect controls.
