Point taken Mr. Seclark. Allow me to better word my sentiments.
IMO, Faulkner is the best. Cormac McCarthy actually gets close, real close to that level of prose. In The Orchard Keeper. I'm low key mad that McCarthy was discussed at some length and his masterpiece wasn't even brought up! That being the Orchard Keeper, now brought up twice for good measure.
Now my opinion could be discarded as the ravings of a lunatic, and Faulkner along with me. But I will remind you, good sir, that I also opine that the Chiefs are the best. So my opinion isn't all that wild!
