So half way into the first episode, and bored/disappointed enough to post in this thread.

It's been years since I read the books, but not a single cast member fits the characters I remember.

Ugh. I the last 10 minutes better be ****ing epic or I won't be watching episode 2. Sucks. Was really looking forward to this,

It's been years since I read the books, but not a single cast member fits the characters I remember. Spoiler! Moraine seems taller than Lan, who may also be smaller than Nynaeve but I haven't seen them together yet. Perrin has a pregnant wife and he kills her?!?! Weren't they all basically kids, teens to start the books? Cauthon looks like he's in his 30's. Totally feels like a cheesy overly dramatic CW program. The scene where Lan and Moraine walk into the tavern is super cringeworthy. The special effects looks cheap. The ash is so dense, yet the fires are so sparse. The monster fight in Rand's house is the best of a bad bunch, and the monster has a stuttering/fluttering effect that reminds me the original Clash of the Titans. I love Dr. Who and it's cheesy effects since they go together. Cheesy special effects don't work in s a show that's supposed to be a serious epic. Ugh. I the last 10 minutes better be ****ing epic or I won't be watching episode 2. Sucks. Was really looking forward to this, __________________
