It would be a stretch for me anyway, I’m a bit of a homebody, but even pre-kids and real life, there would have been a very real calculation of cost vs perceived marginal utility. And I have a hard time believing I could get there from a value perspective. Let me rephrase - I don’t know how much money I’d have to have to make the equation skew towards the side of vacationing. Yeah, for me it would mean eliminating all recurring costs here, so either selling my house or renting it out, and then finding a cheap solution for storing stuff.... the goal would be living for less, or breaking even at worst.
