A break is where people will pool money together to absorb the cost of a product in either a full case or box. You will have breaks that you can pick the team, known as PYT or "pick your team" breaks. Depending on the team the cost of entry can vary. Some teams cost more, some teams less. Chiefs obviously are expensive. A filler on a PYT is where the remaining teams that haven't been sold in the PYT prior to breaking are added together and then sold as RT, Random Teams to those who filled with the cost being spread out among those filling for a equal entry price. Not all breakers do this as it can create accounting nightmares. Random Team, or RT breaks where everyone pays the same entry price and the teams are randomized to those who paid in. You aren't guaranteed a team you would want, but on the flip side you can get lucky and get randomized a high dollar team like the Chiefs for a lower price than if it were a PYT break. Then there are RNB or "random number breaks" where depending on the breaker the rules can vary. But a simple example would be a right side RNB break. Every number from 0-9 will be randomized to each person in the break. There are only 10 people in these breaks so the entry price will usually be more than a PYT or RT break that spreads the price over 30 teams or so. But at the same time, you can really win big sometimes on RNB breaks.

That is about as quick of rundown I can give on what a case break is. There are other types of breaks but those are the main types of breaks you will run across. Watch a few breaks on youtube to give yourself a idea. Here is a older break from a couple years ago with a great Mahomes RC pull.

How do you tell if a card is legit off of ebay? It can come down to many factors. Putting it easily as possible. Thinking back to when you were a kid before they put autographs in packs and you had a card signed by a player at a card show, or game. Modern hand signed cards without a maker guarantee on the back. Those are the type of cards to stay the hell away from. A card made today will be guaranteed by the maker. On the back of a hand signed Panini card will say, This autograph is guaranteed by Panini. The sticker autos will say the same but have a hologram in the sticker. On a hand signed Topps it will say on the back, You recieved a Topps Certified autograph from whatever product it may it be from. Topps Sticker autos will have hologram as well in the sticker. Each maker Panini, Topps/Bowman, Leaf, Upper Deck have there own modern day authenticating markers on their cards.
