My wife had a similar incident at a Chiefs tailgate with her phone in the opened trunk of our car.
As for me, only 1. Years ago when I first got my Samsung Galaxy S3 and brought it home I had it on the armrest of my recliner. It fell off onto the wood floor (maybe a couple of feet) and the screen cracked. I had only had it for a couple of hours.
I hadn't had a chance to get a case because I didn't care to buy from the mall sellers.
