Mellinger gets paid by the word, so he spews out as much lyrical BS as he can. That's understandable for a columnist. What we are watching is the same exact brand of football we've seen year after year, not only with Reid coached teams, but with anyone who coaches this franchise. The two sides of the ball never being on the same page and the lack of accountability when it truly matters. What we are watching is a precursor to what is going to happen in the playoffs. The Mahomes magic can only make up for so much...when our tackles are getting beat like drums (I'm really surprised the putrid o-line play hasn't been discussed more), our receivers cannot get open, the dumb fumbles, the ineptitude on defense from the linebackers to the secondary, you can't expect a QB to overcome ALL of that stuff.
