It is what it is. He isn't a pussy, they aren't to blame. It's an unfortunate set of circumstances but that's all it is - circumstantial.
The frustration with the team comes from how past injuries were dealt with and talked about. Maybe the Chiefs doctor thinks one thing but Berrys says something different. This isnt exactly new he didnt play pre season games in 14' IIRC because of a heel and missed a significant part of the year prior to his diagnosis. This isnt a normal 29 year old either lots of factors come into play.
